Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams born August 20, 1974 in Aviano Italy American actress. She is renowned for her critically-acclaimed performances of charming, naive individuals. Adams was born in Italy as her father worked with the U.S. military and she grew up living in Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven children. She began dancing and acting professionally at the end of the 90s. She was part of Boulder Dinner Theatre, and later The Country Dinner Playhouse. Later, in Minnesota in a small local theater, she was selected to play a role in the mock documentary about beauty contests called Drop Dead Gorgeous. When she made her screen debut as a charming but snarky contestant, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. She starred as Norma in a few popular movies over the years, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho in 1960, and Living It Up, a Martin and Lewis film that was released in the year 1954.
